Looking for some great weekend reading? Look no further than the transcript of the CBS News interview with Attorney General William Barr.
Calling it a bombshell doesn’t do it justice. The interview is chock-full of one explosive comment after another about special counsel Robert Mueller, the media and Barr’s own investigation of the investigators.
Here are some nuclear-grade examples of what the AG has to say:
“So it was bogus, this whole idea that Trump was in cahoots with the Russians is bogus.”
“It’s hard to read some of the [FBI] texts and not feel that there was gross bias at work, and they’re appalling.”
“The use of foreign-intelligence capabilities and counterintelligence capabilities against an American political campaign to me is unprecedented and it’s a serious red line that’s been crossed.”
“The media reaction is strange. Normally the media would be interested in letting the sunshine in and finding out what the truth is.”
“One of the ironies today is that people are saying that it’s President Trump that’s shredding our institutions. I really see no evidence of that From my perspective the idea of resisting a democratically elected president and basically throwing everything at him and you know, really changing the norms on the grounds that we have to stop this president, that is where the shredding of our norms and our institutions is occurring.”

Naively I thought they were uncommon - but all you have to do is witness them calling Antifa “anti-fascists” over and over, like they’re the good guys. It’s pathetic.
Barr is not going to let the clock run out. He’s probably 75% of the way to indictments. He’s obviously reading the evidence and publicizing his conclusions.

Yep. I suppose Trump nominates only those that can get through confirmation, and the only 2 that strike me as really good are Pompeo and Barr.
He’d better move fast. Trials can take forever, too.

If we’ve got NOTHING after 4 years and we then show we are willing to wait....what 1 year? Two years? 4 years? Well get smirked at for our trouble.

You are correct. It does not take that long, nothing takes this long. Comey and Hillary are walk in the park slam dunk cases. If Barr was going to clean up this mess he would start with easy indictments like Comey and Hillary. Both of them would sing like canaries and throw the rest of them under the bus including obama himself. This is why I don't think Barr is going to do anything as far as prosecution of anyone significant. I have been in this game a long time and it would take a serious anomaly for my prediction to be wrong. I really really hope everyone on this thread gets to tell me I told you so but I don't see it happening. If it was going to happen I think we would either have some high level indictments or we would have indication they are coming. This stuff cannot be kept quiet. If indictments were close, we would know about it.
