You are missing the point. This is not some unreasonable accusation, as you are trying to imply by your ridiculous post.
It is at least suspicious that the name of the charity and that of the business are identical, same address and phone and same person managing both.
I just filled out all this paperwork for the state of California. I started a for profit to help out charities. We are ‘Registered Fundraisers’. Among the questions were if any of our board members or anyone in the company....sat on a board, was an officer. etc., of a non profit agency. And if so which one, address, contact info, etc.
Maybe other states don’t ask these questions?.?.
