This stuff isn’t new at all. It has been known in journalism circles since the days when LBJ’s press secretary Bill Moyers would invite his pals to listen to copies of the wiretap tapes. What’s new is that it is getting mainstream publicity.
Morley Safer made a veiled reference to it in his book: “His part in Lyndon Johnson and J. Edgar Hoover’s bugging of Martin Luther King’s private life, the leaks to the press and diplomatic corps,”

It is not getting any major American air time. And my lib friends have not heard one word. Very strange. That is almost more news than the rape laugh.
