WOW!
He hits about 90% of my lifestyle.
Hunting- I hunt all fall and winter, deer and elk mostly. I’m hunting three days next week, going to Kansas for a prairie dog shoot. I don’t hunt because I need to, I hunt because it’s FUN.
Fishing- I fish most of the summer, last week I took the boat to the coast and fished three days. I caught redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead and a couple of saltwater catfish. I don’t fish because I need to, I fish because it’s FUN.
Working on cars- Last week I cured the stumble at idle in my car by putting in some new spark plugs. I suppose I could have taken it to a mechanic and let him charge me $300 to diagnose and fix it while leaving my car there for a week and driving a rental. Instead I went to the auto parts place and paid $25 for six spark plugs and fixed it in about 20 minutes. Spent the money and time I saved on drinking beer.
Cooking- I already know how to do that. Pretty danged well as a matter of fact. The blackened fish tacos with sour cream/cayenne/lime sauce were incredible if I do say so myself.
Upon further reading my point may have been obscured... I should have stated that the points raised in this article were the absolute inverse of what I was taught. I was taught precisely what this article stated should not be taught, and I feel I’m a far better man for it...
