Vegas already bets on the Super Bowl, and the Super Bowl is held in stadiums that are also used for regular season games.

What would be the advantage of building a special stadium in Vegas?

It appears that no one wants it anymore. Too much trouble and they don’t ever get the return on that investment.

Just with the amount of OT that the cities have to pay the cops, firemen/emt’s, and everyone else. I’m not sure all the parties and small taxes on the hotel rooms makes up for all of that. In Atlanta, last year, the cops were on 12 hr shifts for over 2 weeks. That’s a lot of OT to pay out.

In Vegas, they have all the casino/hotels. Think about where all the big conventions are now. They’re not there just because of the strip clubs, casinos and party scene. Vegas has the space to accommodate everything.
