If you are aiming for the Green Zone, and you hit the middle of the Green Zone, I’d say that’s pretty good shooting.
I’ve got a buddy working over there in the GZ. I talked to him the other day and he said things were fairly calm with no attacks in a very long time. Some of the noobies have been bringing their vests and helmets to work just in case of an attack. They are in a curfew protocol from 2100 hour to 0500 hour. Baghdad is 11 hours ahead of PST time so the rocket hit at about 2200 hour local time. Fortunately just about everyone would have been sheltering inside due to the curfew.
Almost all of the incoming is indirect fire so it’s launch and pray accuracy.
Back in 2008 they peaked with around 6-8 rockets per day fired at the Embassy (then in the Republican Palace) from Sadr City.
Iran has a few different options to choose from in Iraq, to get someone to pop a few rockets for them. They could even send their own guys in to do it themselves, if they wanted.
What time USA wise,EDT,CDT,MDT,or PDT ?
