YouTube links to Australian electoral coverage:
There has been a big push for Penny Wong from the far left even prior to the election. One thing I noticed is that Tanya Plibersek has been noticably absent from a lot of the electioneering which doesnt give her much hope for the leadership. I would have thought she would have been a plus getting the womens vote. I am wondering if there is something wrong with her (stress maybe). Albo is the best possibility unless tney go looking for younger blood
Thanks.
Shame about Tony getting the boot. Bloody trendoid media. Wentworth a close shave return to the Coalition though. No thanks to Turnbull you globalist, backstabbing bastard and your idiot son
The announcer now has a big change of opinion, saying there seems to be no chance labor wins overall
Anthony Green - basically seen as the oracle in Australian electoral results:
“It is very hard to see how Labor can reach government.”
He seems to think the question at this point is whether the Coalition gets a majority or winds up in minority government (hung Parliament).
Yes, and that’s Anthony Green - he’s the most respected man on calls like this in Australia. He’s basically an icon when it comes to electoral coverage.
I guess so long as it’s a well hung parliament.
But isn’t that always the game, report as if the leftists are in the lead and likely to win until it doesn’t happen.
This guy - Anthony Green - has a long history of calling it as he sees it, free of bias.
That’s why he’s so respected.
I keep spelling his name wrong - Antony Green (no H)
This is really entertaining to watch somehow, reminiscent of trumps victory.
Yes - I find this stuff fascinating and I was honestly, pretty pessimistic.
It’s not over yet - but the pessimism is gone.
Amen to that. Going blue. Praise God thanks Australia. Wnere are the Russians haha
at least you didn’t say ‘name wong’. Penny wouldn’t like that.
I’m watching Don’s Party
Yes - bit of a flavour of that tonight.
I don’t want to gloat - it’s not over, and I remember 1993, when we thought we were going to win an unloseable election. To me, people who take politics seriously are the heart and soul of a country - even if I disagree with them, at least they stand up to say what they think is right.
And there’s a lot of people who will be devastated right now.
Early voting trending LNP as well. It seems like the polls were wrong again similar to what happened in Israel and the US. How big an issue was climate change and which parties benefited one way or another?
Were the polls wrong...or were they cooked?
Climate change has been a pretty big issue - the ALP wants much more aggressive cuts on emissions, the Coalition much more cautious about the effects on the economy of changing too much.
Hewson and the birthday cake flub. John would be watching the results in his old seat with great interest tonight.
