The private jet ownership is despite his efforts to campaign against climate change in his songs. With song lyrics that include: "[Theyre] talkin bout how the weathers changing / the ice is melting / like the world is ending," you would think he would try to live a low carbon lifestyle, but alas.
Drake has gotten himself a gigantic plane. Via Daily Caller The superstar rapper showed off his plane, called Air Drake, on Instagram Friday, and its downright absurd. The interior is absolutely massive, and he points out that its not a timeshare or rental. Its just all his.

Flashback: Drakes climate change epiphany He uses the song as a platform to rail against climate change and examine his own complicity in the ongoing degradation of the natural world
Drake slips in: [theyre] talkin bout how the weathers changing / the ice is melting / like the world is ending. One might, perhaps, assume Drake is referring to the usual ice melting in post-winter Toronto; especially given the lines casual delivery and the beat-drop of the bridge that follows immediately after, as if forgetting he said it at all. But as we drop off this icy berg into the bridge She asks me, who are you gonna be, when its all over, when its all over? it is apparent that Drakes simple moment of contemplation has had a transformative effect .
He enters a state of existential reflection, with a realization of his impending mortality: what will be the intrinsic value of his music, if the ice caps melt and the world is no longer sustainable? Or perhaps more pertinently, he realises that with his stadium-sized cultural standing, and ability to impact on the world at large, he is in an undeniable position of power to enact meaningful change and ensure the survival of the planets ecosystem a network nearly as complicated, beautiful, and wonderfully diverse as Drake himself.
Imagine that.Another Black American being so discriminated against hes able to purchase a private jet the size of a commercial air liner.
Where the hell is my white privilige?I sure cant afford one.
He ain’t nothing...
Bingo.
Me neither. I feel discriminated against.
Gimme. Gimme. Gimme.
Not really, but nobody else deserves a leg up either.
I’ll believe climate change is a crisis when the people who say it’s a crisis start acting like it’s a crisis. They won’t because it isn’t.
His jet - like all liberal private jets - doesn’t contribute to GLOBULL WARMING, but they will say Rush Limbaugh’s jet does. Hypocrite, that is all they are...
I don’t think he owns this jet. It still has the Cargojet name on it.

I know I’m not a sophisticate, but that is not appealing at all.
Maybe it is just the picture, but its kind of tacky.
This was many many years ago - but I remember the actor Ed Begly Jr. who believed so much in the environment he always rode a bicycle. I guess being green has evolved.
I work in Aviation and most of these clowns have no idea the cost and upkeep is for a private jet.. much less a 767 which limits where you can fly. They will fly them hard the first couple of months and then realize how much it is to operate.
Crew, fuel, maintenance, insurance and don’t forget Landing Fees! Governments make money off landing fees on large commercial type air craft. A small jet not’s too bad, but a 767 watch out. And the limited landing locations due to the length of runways required. Yep he made a costly mistake!
Drake is keeping this aircraft out of the hands of an evil business person who would use it irresponsibly. Drake, however, will pay homage to Gaia when he gets aboard and think green thoughts while airborne, so it’s ok. This is a blow for the environment.
Maybe he should’ve bought a Lockheed Electric.
There are two types of Global Climate Change Deniers
1. Those who deny it with their words
2. Those that deny it with their actions
Plus the carbon credits his environmental conscience will make him buy.
Real sacrifices are for you little people - certainly not for us entertainers and politicians.
Its the same as guns. Guns for me (and my bodyguards), but not for thee.
Reparations.
And don't forget noise abatement rules for late night flights......
Rapper sells poison to kids, uses profits to Poison Planet
