I was zotted here for opposing Bush amnesty and ganged up on by Howlin and her posse
Nearly all of whom left to anti freep in 2006
And nobody remembers this era of the forum
And we’ve done a 180

Freepers who I valued were getting zotted all around me. And it looked to me like the common thread was howlin and her wolfpack. They would lure a target into a fight and get a friendly Mod to zot them. So I made it a point to never post with any of her crew because I knew how risky that could be. The fact that they had Mods cooperating with them really bothered me.
I strongly suspected that Bush political operatives were involved in it, because so much of the zotting was in response to richly deserved criticism of Bush policies like amnesty, Harriet Miers and so forth. Anyway it’s a shame when someone dies, but I share no illusions about howlin. I saw what she did to other freepers too many times for that.
I was lurking over at Wideawakes the night of the coup d’etat against Ivan. Watched it in real time. The Revolution was eating its own. Poetic justice.
I recall her sport was to try to get folks banned. She and her crew seemed to get a real kick out of that.
There’s a difference between not speaking ill of the dead and trying to re-write history.
I remember them all good memories.
