Don’t be so sure.
Dynasty & In The Dark were renewed despite .2 to .1 ratings.
Black Lightning continues although no cross over with Arrow - verse. But Batwoman was introduced on a current DC TV show.

CW doesnt cancel their shows. I kid you not. Most make it to 4 season for syndication.

(Why didnt they just go with the ambiguously gay duo?)
Nothing is ambiguous anymore about sex. They want to make sure to hit you over the head with it! They also are no longer funny; the duo were hilarious!

I was going into my apartment back in the day, when a female neighbor, whom I did not previously know, asked me if I could give her a lift to a nightclub in Dallas. Sure, I said.
We got there and she invited me in. It was a lesbian bar. Many of the girls were drop dead beautiful. But, I gotta tell you, it was distressing to watch a red head you would kill for walk up a stick her tongue in a bull dyke’s ear.
Point being, yes, some of them look like that.

A former phb-ette probably was.
Had the heftiness and butch looks.
Married twice somehow and had a stupid male kid.

Sadly, Yvonne "Batgirl" Craig died a few years back.

If she were still alive and the network were daring, they would have had her attempt the Batwoman role.
An 80-year old superhero would really be a giant leap forward.

Driving a solar-powered Subaru, shod in powerful Birkenstocks, a plaid flannel cape, khaki “slacks”, with freshly close-cropped hair, she (he?, it?) struggles in the fight for acceptance of the sexually perverse (by force)!

The CW network has picked up its Batwoman pilot for a full season. The upcoming show will center on the DC Comics lesbian superhero and is set to air sometime during the 2019-2020 TV season.

...speculating about a romance between Supergirl and Batwoman. These days, just throwing in some pedophilia for good measure.
