During WW II before we sent troops over seas, one of our planners left a Russian dictionary on a table when briefing the Press that we were going to start a new front. He didn’t mention where but the reporters figured out that it looks like the new front is going to be Norway or northern Russia. They were told to pack their things and report for the flight, still without knowing where they were going. So they figured based on the dictionary on the table, it was Russia.
They packed accordingly, over coats flannel underwear etc.. When they landed where the new front was, it was Africa. Operation Security, gotta love it.
Interesting surmise. But the hot spot is Persia right now. China may join the fray later but the tariffs are not going to start a world war.

My FIL got put on a ship told he was going to Europe (warm clothes, etc.)....out at sea they got told...you are going to the Phillipines....and when they got there were greeted by NAME by Tokyo Rose on the radio...
