Felons and the Democratic vote
The Washington Times ^ | April 28, 2019 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Democrats used to argue that once felons had served their time, they had paid their debt to society and should be able to vote. Leading presidential candidate Bernie Sanders now wants felons to never lose their right to vote, not even for those who have committed the most horrible crimes, not even while they’re in prison.

If honorable Americans do not wake up,take a stand and get involved your loved ones coming behind you will pay a price you will never believe.
The Democrat Party is more dangerous to America than Russia,China or North Korea.

If the felons can vote then they should be able to run for office. The Boston Bomber could get himself elected President and then pardon himself.

And if Sanders says he won’t let them run for office then that’s racist.

I understand there are low-population towns in the US with prisons. Thus, the “prison vote” is easily the majority.

This is literally the perfect rendition of “inmates running the asylum”.

And yet there are CLOWNS here who thing that virtually every felon and ex-felon is a Reagan Republican, because they’ve talked to a few who know what to say to get out of jail.

But this is DATA and it matches reality. Blacks vote, on-average, 10 percent Republican. So, either we believe that virtually all the blacks locked up happen to be part of that 10 percent [or at least most of them], or accept the fact that probably 90 percent of black felons will vote Democrat if permitted to vote [if not more].

It is INSANE for our side to even consider handing MILLIONS OF VOTES to Democrats, probably enough to have defeated both Bush Jr. and Trump...and yet our side asks for NOTHING IN RETURN, no Voter ID, no clearing dead people off the roles, no laws against ballot harvesting, no checking of citizenship, NOTHING, not a damn thing - we just hand the Democrats MILLIONS of new voters.

Sickening. We don’t deserve to be a major political party if we do this shit, and our kids don’t deserve us as parents, since THEY, our kids, are the one who will have to pay the price for these decisions.

Felons lost their civil rights.
I see no good reason to allow them to vote.
Suppose they vote against a law that they broke.

Very interesting point that I had not thought of. Nice way to connect the dots.

Democrats don’t care if the felon votes all they need is the names they voted.

I agree with this. They should also have all their other rights restored as well. Specifically their 2nd amendment rights. Either they've paid their debt to society or they shouldn't be out of prison.

I bet Dems don’t believe in restoring gun rights back.

Something that was de facto until 1968 folks

That’s actually a fair point

Jesus GA is about 9000 with around 3000-4000 prisoners now at three joints

Otisville New York is tiny but has a state and federal joint which I’m sure dwarfs the local population

El Reno Oklahoma yet another

Florence Colorado ditto

Ruleville Mississippi is tiny yet is home to mighty Parchman prison farm complex.......four times the size of Ruleville

Ditto Angola Louisiana area

I’m in favor of all civil rights restoration after time served and paper sentence completed
