I think the dem plan is to let all these ‘extremists’ run amok for 6 months to agitate the masses. Then, a ‘moderate’ candidate will be put forth. One that sounds conservative (sane) enough for the independents, the Never Trumpers and the RINOs. The far and center left will be ignored as they will vote for whoever has the D behind their name.
6 months of Crazy Bernie and Harris and the rest in the current clown car, plus Crypt Keeper Biden to prove that old white guys are as useful as screen doors in submarines, then, gently let someone like Michelle Obama start talking quietly to the people with well-scripted quips. Like quieting a flighty horse. Black, female (maybe), White House experience, these things will pull in the shallow thinkers from the left and right. The crazy candidates will wear themselves out punching at Trump and America and will fade by New Years. The MSM will receive their instructions...
It could work, but only if Trump stumbles, and if he cannot rally the pubs, who, in truth, generally miss the great times they had being the minority in Washington.

I still think Biden will get the nod. The only potential candidate I fear at the moment is Michelle Obama. And I agree with you they will try to find a candidate perceived as moderate.
That may be the Dem’s plan, but I don’t think it’ll work. You don’t quiet a flighty horse by giving into it. And as we’ve seen over the last couple of years, the Dems have given into the demands of the loony left to the point that their crazy has become a part of who they are. Snakes can shed their skin; the Dems will find that shedding their crazy won’t be as easy.
