Pope Francis sending money to Mexican congregations to help migrants

Pope Francis donated half a million dollars to help caravan migrants stranded in Mexico.

The money will come from the Peter’s Pence collection, which is used to “to help the poor in whatever way is possible.”

“In 2018, six migrant caravans entered Mexico, for a total of 75,000 people; the arrival of other groups was announced. All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood,” read a statement from the Vatican's Peter's Pence Office.

“In this context, Pope Francis donated US $ 500,000 to assist migrants in Mexico. This amount will be distributed among 27 projects in 16 dioceses and among Mexican religious congregations

I disagree. There actually is something "new" here.

I'm a catechist as well as a history buff, and I'm well aware that there have been moral madcaps and judas-priests in the papacy before, but what we have in Pope Francis is, as far as I can see, unprecedented.

Previous bad popes might sell their souls for pleasure or gold or the lives of their enemies or a castle in France, but we have never had one like this one: a dedicated opponent of the Catholic Church.

This man is not a foolish ditherer nor a sot nor a thrall of lust, nor a fool. Not at all. He is bent on nothing less than the demolition of Catholicism.

I personally would like to know what percent of the income of Vatican City comes from "Peter's Pence" (the donations Pope Francis is dipping into to make this farce of a donation) and how much comes from profits from Vatican-owned, income-producing real estate in Italy and elsewhere.

Wrong approach.

The mass of these people are just the being shoved across the geopolitical chessboard by far more powerful people who actually don't care whether they live or die.

Here's a better deal:

(1) Keep them out with physical and electronic barriers.

(2) Incentivize them to stay home and not abandon their pobrecita abuela in Michoacan. (I have some non-massacre ideas of how to do this. It might involve the qick and unmourned demise of some deserving narcotraficantes.) And

(3) by their own resources, efforts, and enterprise --- Make Mexico Great Again.

I give to Catholic pro-life groups and independent Catholic whistleblower media (like LifeSiteNews.) And a particular seminarian friend will will, please God, eventually be a real Catholic--- real Catholic --- priest.

I do not donate to the clerical bureaucracy known as the USCCB or their counterparts on the Tiber, and haven't for years.

It's important to differentiate between the former and the latter.

We should send 100,000 illegal immigrants to Vatican City (with some equipment to enable them to break through the thick walls there!)

I have made that sort of statement here. The really wide and thick walls surrounding the Vatican are a testimony to the effectiveness of walls. So why not let us have our wall, too? Or, let many immigrants come to be taken care of with food and medical care inside the Vatican?

We have to do that for the millions who come here illegally. Our "lifeboat" is now full and may sink.

Pope Francis, tear down that wall.
