NYCs building boom, such as it is, will come to a halt.
Renewable energy plan started by Bloomberg must have been read by Kaiser Wilhem under the infuence of LSD.
The last verifiable elec use number circa 2002 was 55,000 gigawatts annually. Ton of high rises constructed since then.
Good luck with that.
“...Agua Caliente, the largest photovoltaic solar power facility in the world, was completed last week in Arizona.”
“The plant comprises more than five million solar panels that span the equivalent of two Central Parks in the desert between Yuma and Phoenix. It generates 290 megawatts of power....”
290 mega watts...
Winter is coming.
They want to ban everything except pot and abortions!
If ya can’t build up, ya have to build out. This will cause loss of green space, wider traffic patterns, more infrastructure, and a larger carbon footprint.
But banning sky scrapers sounds like a good thing,....right?
So people actually disable their ad blockers to go to this site? That’s just gross. It’s like kissing strangers.
There was an article posted in FR that said that if you add up all the inputs, electric cars were more co2 generators than diesel. I am sure this idiot will propose buildings that sound green smart on paper and make latte sipping dinks feel fuzzy all over, but will prob be more co2 intensive when compared down the track
"Long as they don't set them on fire. Anyone want some shrimp? I brought enough for everybody!"
Simple economics:
Increase the cost of building in Manhattan, then outlying prices will increase sequentially as affordability spreads further from the center.
As expensive as is NYC, without tall buildings all of the boroughs would be desolate of all but 1%ers.

The DIMocRATS, in just one word, are STUPID & are clownish to persons of reasonably normal IQ.

...so...when you say ‘ban’...does that mean the existing ones need to come down?
