Also, curious to me that it is a “FISA-Carter Page” investigation.

That is because the original FISA warrant was issued to surveil Carter Page due to his past work with Russians in business (and possibly for the FBI).

That warrant, in its renewal, was expanded to the Trump campaign.

Then, the unmasking of Americans took place as electronic surveillance on Russians was taking place even though no crimes were alleged.

Trump was never told about this. In 2008, when a Russian agent was in the McCain campaign, the FBI told McCain and they removed the man from the campaign. The same courtesy was never extended to Trump because it was Obama/Clinton pulling the strings and they saw it as a way to get dirt on Trump and win the election.

Devin Nunes: 'Hidden' passage in Mueller report shows scope memo tainted by Trump dossier

(excerpt)

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., revealed where in special counsel Robert Mueller's report he says "Clinton dirt" tainted the Russia investigation.

During an interview on Fox News, hours after the 448-page report was released, Nunes pointed to a "hidden" passage on page 11 that addresses the scope memo for the yearslong investigation.

"When you look at what happened today, remember we talked a lot about the scope memo. What were the directions given to the special counsel? Well, we now know hidden on page 11, very thinly, still veiled, but we now know they used the Steele dossier, the Clinton dirt, the Clinton-paid-for dirt as part of the memo for the special counsel that directed the special counsel what to do," Nunes told host Sean Hannity.

*snip*

Nunes said the report showed Mueller's investigation was prompted to investigate Page as well as former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort due to the unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele.

Thanks. I understand that. It’s just the change in the characterization from what we’ve heard before that I found interesting. Not sure that it means anything.

Meanwhile, I learned from Tony Shaffer, which I hadn’t realized, that Susan Rice, as the head of the NSA, would have had to sign off on the original surveillance into Trump’s campaign — as well as that Trump should absolutely have been alerted to such a supposed (wink, wink) threat:
