He would frequently run amok on the concourse, whipping human and alien female alike for being uncovered and smashing up Quark’s for serving synthehol and gagh (which are not halal).

drivel...... the anomaly is the result of ongoing progress. Correct. This is why they're called "tests".

Why does SpaceX land boosters on barges?

Why does SpaceX land boosters on barges?
...
For some flights they don’t have enough fuel to get back to land.

I'm glad they tested it before they had to use it for real.
This is what testing is for.

So much for “re-usable” capsules, huh?

Well, we don’t know the reason for the explosion, so that question can’t be answered yet.
A few weeks ago I read a Musk tweet saying that the crew capsules are so expensive to refurbish, they are considering building a new one each time.

When you consider the down list that most airliners actively fly with (taking advantage of redundant systems) you’d have to wonder why they’d even attempt a re-usable crew capsule. It’s not like they can afford the space or weight for a 3rd backup of this or that.

Internal structure propellant leak? No sign of thruster ignition.
To: Ozark Tom
Whatever the cause, the great news is that it happened during testing.

The center booster travels further down range I believe. And since down range is over water... youd be correct; not enough fuel.
To: SunkenCiv
Hmmm?! “bfrc”? Draco Thrusters for escape system use monomethyl hydrazine fuel and nitrogen tetroxide oxidizer. Just sayin’...........
