Almost 39 percent of the more than 4,400 seniors they surveyed in Washington state said they had a firearm in their home. Nearly a quarter said they keep at least one gun loaded and unlocked. Fewer than a third said they keep all firearms locked up and unloaded.

Gun grabbers can make all the laws they want. People won't comply with stupid laws.

It has never seemed logical to me that if I live in a house with no children or young adults in it, and I keep a loaded unlocked firearm available, and that gun is stolen by some kid who breaks into my home, that I should be held responsible for something terrible done with that gun.
That is completely Leftist.

I’m old. I don’t own “a gun”.
I started with “a gun” when I was 12. For some reason it multiplied and now it has many friends.

"LOCKED UP" is "infringed"!!!!
My right to self-defense can not implemented with a locked up weapon.

A locked firearm doesn’t even make a good throwing weapon.

Could anyone possibly suppose that, when asked questions about their guns’ location and condition, people will answer candidly? Good grief! I’d get out my broom and shoo them off my porch! Or maybe my M-1 like Eastwood.

Not sure what the value of a gun is that is locked in a case. Never could figure that logic.

I remember getting some "Safety Pup" questionnaire from the county sheriff years ago asking about guns, ammo and location for "fire safety purposes" in case firefighters had to show up at my house.
Yeah - I'm gonna answer that... ;-)

I am no more than 5 steps away from a firearm anywhere in my home. Locked and loaded because it's a 20 minute drive to (or from) town.
911 is basically a body recovery service, mine or theirs. I wouldn't call then but apparently it's against the law to hang scumbags on the fence with the coyotes.

Most seniors don't have grandchildren living with them.
For the same reason, we ask for medications in standard screw top bottles-- no little kids handy to help us open them.

Should we care about what a bunch of unlicensed journalists with unregistered cameras, microphones and mass transmission devices used for gain or compensation think? Call me when you are Properly Trained and LICENSED with all your recording and transmission devices properly registered and inspected regularly for false transmissions of propaganda to the masses for Profit or Gain.

Keep and BEAR arms does not jibe with lockup.
Yes I lock up my valuables. But my utilities stay near by.
So many guns
so little time.
