Why would muzzies climb up into the attic, where they say this fire started, to start a fire? It increases the chance of getting caught,

My thoughts exactly. Climbing a flight of stairs to start a fire is such an inconvenience. It would have been more like them to learn how to fly a jet airliner and high-jack a few and then fly them into buildings. Less chance of getting caught, because that's what scares them most.
