NXIVM is a multi-level marketing company that sells self-help and motivational seminars, and that the seminars are a cover for grooming people into the leader's sex cult.

Apparently, the crime is that NXIVM is a multi-level marketing company that sells self-help and motivational seminars, and that the seminars are a cover for grooming people into the leader's sex cult. They were trying to take over the government of Mexico...by bribery, intimidation..etc...several high level Mexican officials were in the cult.
