No major politician has had a bigger change in his financial status after the last election than Bernie Sanders. And both in 2016 and now, Bernie has been reluctant to release his taxes, and responded to calls to do so with stalling tactics.
He's played games with financial disclosures before.

Senator Sanders has a long history of refusing to comply with financial disclosure laws.
Considering his wife's history, and his own with finances, behind all the smoke may be a fire. The Sanders Institute was recently shut down as Bernie prepared to run for office. The FBI chose not to pursue his wife over alleged fraud involving Burlington College. But there may be things still lurking in the paper underbrush.

Ummmm...let us see.
Because he’ll be exposed for the hypocrite that he is. And then he might have to disclose how he purchased a house on Lake Champlain for $600k, shortly after getting sent home in 2016.

The financial desclosure for is actually more meaningful and is required. The tax return only has income. They are just trying to find something embarrassing. Not illegal.

Why Won't Bernie Sanders Release His Taxes? Maybe he's being audited?
To: eyeamok
Id rather see EVERY member of Congress have to undergo mandatory drug and alcohol testing. Failure is means for firing. Immediately. Just like we do in businesses.

Every member of Congress should be required to release their tax returns, and the longer they’ve been there the more important it becomes, especially for senior members on committees and the Speaker and other leaders in the both houses.
This is needed for spouses so it can be determined how so many manage to become wealthy on salaries that will not make anyone millionaire plus wealthy.
This is much more important than seeing the returns of officials who became wealthy before running for office.

Any congress person or Senator that make more than 10% more then their salary should disclose all tax information! These are the biggest crooks in Washington. All Trump has to say is “I never became a a multi-million are while serving in DC. As a matter of fact, I donate my salary to charity to help others in need. I don't need it. So Unlike several Democrat members maybe can explain how when they make aminimum of $150K yearly salary like, Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler, Waters, and the rest of the thieves in Washington, are worth millions and millions of dollars, stealing from yoy And while I'm trying to make your lives better, they attack me for my taxes. I was already rich and known for being rich before I ran And legitimately won the office. If these assholes want my taxes, then they should show the American taxpayers theirs first, and for the last 10 years to prove to the American tax payers their not crooks!”
