On February 17, 2019, US President Donald Trump called on European partners in the coalition against IS to take back foreign fighters who were their citizens and had joined IS. But paradoxically, a few days later, he rejected the demand to return Hoda Muthana to the US, an American citizen who joined IS.She Was Not and Is Not a citizen of the USA. Her father was a diplomat. End of story.

Wasn’t aware of that, if her father was a diplomat then she’s not a citizen as he, and her, were subject to the jurisdiction of another nation. Personally I think the same standard applies to the children of illegals, thus far the courts have disagreed.

It was the Obama Administration, not Trump, that ruled her US passport was issued in error and she was never a US citizen.
