It’s already happening.

They’re already accusing innocent people of hate speech, making it up and requiring the accused to present evidence that he/she didn’t say anything “hateful” or “mocking” to a “victim.”

It’s not just happening with the cases presented by the media in all it’s various forms. It’s happening daily at work, school, little cuts but many. Just happened to my daughter who is a nurse. She graduated last May with a BSN and now a nurse at a well known Philly hospital. A black muslim woman, coworker but subordinate cornered her in the break room and accused her of “mocking” her arabic speech (she’s a black muslim, convert learning “arabic”).

My young, white, beautiful, intelligent, pleasant, happy daughter has been targeted by this burqa wearing convert to islam (black muslim) and now it’s an HR issue since I advised my daughter to file a complaint.

Little cuts. A thousand little cuts. And people are scared to stand up for themselves. “It’s just what this person is like” ad nauseam. My daughter was scared to stand up for herself/make waves. But after the accusatory confrontation on her character, and our discussion, she spoke with her nurse manager and now it’s in the hands of HR.

Now we get to worry about backlash from this black muslim who “prays” 5 times a day at work (like any of us could spend our work time doing that).

The media in all its forms, as well as the democrats and republicans in our government, allowed this to happen. We have allowed this to happen.

I’m disheartened, sad, but mostly angry.Maybe it has to happen to everyone for the anger to rise up?

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine here in Australia. The woman is aboriginal and so any complaint me means she gets to cry racism. HR ended up acknowledging my friend is right but nothing happens to the other woman and my friend is asked to be more understanding. Yet if the aboriginal woman had proved herself right my friend would have been fired, never be able to work for any government department and possibly charged. The law is an ass!
