Lay off the Conspiracy News Network koolaid.
The feds will be looking into the other incident where he mailed a fake death threat to himself. Up to 40 years for that. Plus the Chicago police union is asking the feds to investigate the DA’s office. This isn’t over by a long ways.

Should be "Kamala Harris Gets a Pass in Chicago."
The trial would have started at during the Democrat primary debates, and Harris doesn't want the guilt-by-association from all those rally photos of her with Smollett pushing her anti-lynching bill amidst a fake hate crime hoax trial.
