It’s an ugly thing when investigations and legal apparti become a political weapon. Dangerous times, dangerous move. That said....

THEY BROKE THE LAW. HOLY CRAP DID THEY BREAK THE LAW. They didn’t just break the law, they beat it with a 20 lb sledgehammer for 2 YEARS until they’d pulverized it into dust.

We have laws or we don’t. Laws apply to everyone, or they apply to no one. We MUST recover the legitimacy of the law, both in fact and in perception, or we will lose this republic. That danger is many times greater than the political danger, which is a pandora’s box that has already been opened anyway.

As a question of political strategy, this is complex. You face an enormous entrenched and corrupt establishment that covers entire sectors of the American (and other countries of the western alliance) society. If you propose to take down a handful of figureheads, but leave the vast majority unscathed, then what changes? That movement will just ooze up a new set of equally loathsome figures, or turn to even more dangerous options like the AOC-Bernie Sanders wing.

I think this is a four-term project. It has to be built around a comprehensive vision of change that will be prepared to uproot everything corrupt and evil in the nation. Other countries face the same challenge over the same amount of time.

This is one reason why I believe it is important for the Trump and Cruz contingents to make peace in the valley. Ted Cruz is the most credible person I can see to continue the fight beyond 2024.

All of this is (counter-) revolutionary and needs a theme, for a start it needs a name. The American Restoration would be one suggestion. The objective should be to drain all aspects of the swamp not just in DC but across America.

I am not 100% convinced that this president has formulated a vision like that extending beyond the DC political swamp. Some would no doubt say, that’s enough for us, drain that. But as I say, you can’t really drain a swamp if you don’t remove the source of the stagnant water that caused it to exist, it will just fill back up again after a short interval.
