Our company has decided that only CNN and the Food Channel are sufficiently "neutral" channels to warrant viewing in the break room. Today's CNN chiron was ridiculous: "Trump states White Nationalism not a problem, as While Nationalist kills 49..." and you can fill in the rest.

And my idiot co-workers watch CNN like it’s gospel. Sad, really.
Well, I just got blocked on Facebook for posting the shooter video online ...
Buy a cheap universal remote. You can program it to any TV that’s on. Carry it everywhere. Turn it on Fox.
re: airports getting paid to have CNN on....
Infuriating to me, of course. Hospital family waiting rooms and many schools have CNN, too, though.
Someone here last year mentioned the device that turns off a nearby TV by a sort of clandestine remote. I didn’t buy one and haven’t planned on using one but it tempts me more and more. Lucky for them I am law abiding.
CNN gives airports and waiting rooms a negative image.
I noticed the one with that Joanna Gaines and a similar one (HGTV?) on fixing houses was on at my one doctor’s office and one hospital area where I waited for my wife to recover from cataract surgery twice last year. Not political.
Talk about a captive audience. Hate to sit there or pace around, or leaf through dopey magazines but can’t really leave far in case your loved one finally ready to come out. TV has motion and sound so everyone has to look up at it. I almost always carry the Book of Psalms for those times.
Absolutely.
You’re tense or worried already and then have to cope with Van Jones, Wolf Blitzer or Don Lemon pontificating as well.
Remember when the media rushed to blame hillary for the embassy attack in Benghazi?
Yeah, me either! Instead they circled the wagons.
So at the hospital today they had CNN on. I haven’t watched it in years. After 1.2 hours I walked (ran) up to the receptionist and said “my stress level is thru the roof AND I JUST CANT TAKE ANOTHER MINUTE OF THIS!”. PLEASE change the channel. She grabs the remote and changes it TO THE VIEW. She said is this okay? I said “IT’S THE SAME THING!”.
.
She was very nice. She asked what I wanted to watch. I said “ paint drying, water boiling... anything but that”. She turned on a game show.
One snowflake wasn’t happy.
I gave her a look of “Not today my friend. Not today”.
She didnt say a word to me.
I heard CNN was bad but OMG ..... no news about anything good. Nothing.
Update. Direct TV now raising its rates. I subscribed to Philo TV today on firestick. Guess what. 16.00 a month. Not 50. No CNN, MSNBC or FOX but it does have OAN. Cancelling direct TV NOW effective April 15. 420.00 a year savings.
CNN is a stressful channel to watch. Too much stress invites illness.
They looked like AR variants to me, and a pump shotgun.
He had several guns he did not use.
hospital had CNN....

First, sorry you were in the hospital. Hope you’re feeling better.
2nd, please see my reply no.28 and no.27 above. We’re thinking alike.
They are a confused people. I think the following applies..
2’nd Thessalonians 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
While visiting someone in the hospital I was subjected to the Commie News Network until I couldn’t stand it any longer. I went to a Best Buy and purchased a programmable universal remote control and then spent the time scanning the frequencies until I figured out the code for the boob-toob in the waiting room.
I switched the channel to FNS when the room was empty and then over the course of the next week kept turning it back when the staff would change it. They finally gave up ;’}
Thank you. It was my daughter. My nerves were already eyond frazzled. I honestly believe I was capable of not on ripping down the TV off the wall but the drywall with it.
Hillarious
Smartphones have given the captive audiences a portable escape - in the same way computers and smart TVs in general gave the home audiences an escape. I probably watch more YouTube on the TV than any regular programming; there is an incredible amount of information out there, with far more viewpoints than the “mainstream” media offers.
Information warfare works and that is all that cnn does. It has picked sides and is actively using information warfare against its enemies.
