I don’t always think of it, but there’s a dollar store about a block away from the Hallmark store.

Well, that’s a crime, too, and that price! — even at Walmart! — it disgusts me. So I buy Hallmark’s low-end cards for $1.00 at $ Tree. “Hallmark” shows on the envelope’s flap and on the back of the card. For the muckity-mucks who do not shop at $ Tree, they’ll never know the difference.
If it were up to me, I'd never buy a greeting card again. Big scam. But the women in my life insist on getting them so I suck it up. Yeah, I'm one of those guys at the CVS on Valentine's Day picking through what's left so that I don't come home empty-handed.
