I'm convinced its due to our monetary system. Massive debt in printed, fiat currencies at zero interest rates, all around the world, is enabling left/progressives to stay in power, run amok through the institutions of governance, and above all run long-term social-engineering schemes that would have long-ago gone bankrupt and been discarded otherwise.
