I have lived on the west coast my entire life. I have seen it change from Scoop Jackson and blue collar Democrat, to an insanity that puts Omar and AOC squarely in the mainstream...the mainstream of not only Democrat thinking but the mainstream of the population at large.
I think we may well be whistling past the graveyard thinking that the voters reject these ideas. In a huge swath of the nation, these ideas are ARE the mainstream. And that swath is growing not shrinking. They are on the offensive.

I'm not making book on that assumption. Based on the 2018 congressional elections, even accounting for the massive vote fraud, I did not see anything in those results which gives me the impression the average American voter is undergoing even a mild epiphany.
Honestly, if there hasn't been a big shift after all that has transpired over the last several years, especially Hillary's extensive felonies and the DOJ and State Dept criminal corruption, why should I believe that one more scandal by the Dems is going to change the way people think?
Obama’s brand of Islamist sympathy wasn’t hardline enough for Omar. He was an “Arab Spring” guy, hoping for political victories by the Muslim Brotherhood. Omar most likely sees MB as sell-outs and weaklings, her sympathies are probably much more along the lines of Al Qaeda or the Islamic State.

No, not really, since she's attacking Obama for not being enough of an Islamist or enough of an open borders advocate for her liking. It's comparable to ISIS attacking the Muslim Brotherhood and even Al Quaeda for not being fanatical enough.
