Unfortunately not true for everyone. Some people need to try on before they buy. Whoever can come up with a way to "try on" clothes online will be the next Bezos and will drive the last nail into the retail coffin. Until then stores that sell clothing have a purpose.
Amazon has try before you buy and free returns on most sold by Amazon clothing items.
That’s about as close as you can get. Until someone makes a app that can get your measurements with the camera.
(And I’ll bet someone is working on that now)

Amazon Prime does that with some brands of clothing. They send you what you think will fit. If it does, you keep it. If it doesn’t, you send it back in the same box and UPS picks it up for free the next day from your porch.
