All we see playing out is the south east Asian chess match. China wants control and is doing it slowly and methodically thru kim. By refusing a deal with the US it puts the south back in the cross hairs and desperately thinking they can negotiate on their own. We may see down the line a treaty between north and south and a request by the south to remove US troops from their soil convincingly suggested by kim if they want a lasting peace and economic partner. This will put them in bed with kim and china

I disagree. Trump hasn’t given up. By a long shot. Now I haven’t mentioned this before, but it’s obvious and should be said. Trump is over there negotiating, Kim wants to denuke, but there’s a trust issue. Why is there a trust issue? Because back home our congresscritters and press are screetching to the rooftops that our President is a liar and a cheat, can’t be trusted, impeachable, and will probably not get re-elected. Why the hell would Kim disarm hearing all that? Seriously? It’s not that Kim doesn’t trust Trump, he does, he doesn’t trust our congresscritters to undo what Trump will accomplish. The Dems know this, they thought it through when they scheduled their hearings to coincide with each of Trump’s foreign trips. They want him to fail. That they dumped on him immediately, what did they say, ‘amateur hour?’ was proof enough of that. So was their attempt to try do distract the public with completely inappropriate timing to address the Otto issue. Trump has accomplished what no other president has been able to do - get Kim to sit down twice, with an eye on the future and the door still open. And they hate him for it. Because he’s orange.
