Cohen stated that Davis wasn’t being paid, and that Davis had agreed to wait ‘3 years’ until Cohen was ‘making money again’ to get paid.
Davis has a vested interest in Cohen being able to sell books, sell a movie, sell himself as a ‘commentator’.
You could see him sitting back there like the cat with a canary in its mouth, letting Cohen ramble on without advice of counsel, counting the greenbacks in his head that he thinks the testimony will bring about and that he will profit from. Lies or no.
Clinton foundation has been buying up gold, PMs, bitcoin, art, antiques to shelter their money in anticipation of asset forfeiture.
So they aren’t getting paid in traceable assets, but someone might get a Picasso.
speaking of Picassos, an issue was made about Trump using a straw buyer to bid up his portrait. Browsing Netflix the other day, was a movie about the value of art, and how bidding up a work to increase its future value was SOP in the art world. Of note, the “Picasso Club” protects their investments by not allowing any Picasso to auction for less than $1Million. They buy and sell Picassos to each other to keep the prices inflated.
