I am sure he would answer honestly, under oath. Or, perhaps not.

Lanny Davis is working for Hillary. Cohen is getting free legal advice and it is going to cost him dearly. He opened himself up to a whole new round of perjury charges. No legitimate lawyer would have allowed their “client” to go in there and testify under oath to a bunch of obvious lies. Cohen is a pathological liar. He lies even when it goes against his own interests to lie. Davis knew he was going to lie but put him on the stand anyway. Davis needs to be Cohen’s bunkmate in prison.
I think it has to do with tax deductibility under the old tax rules you could deduct interest only if it was used for the house or college.

Very telling IMHO.
Of course folks like me will never be able to see mechanations that go on inside. However, just paying attention to headlines allow some insight to what obviously taking place. For example: . . .
January 23 it is announced: Michael Cohen postpones congressional testimony because of threats to family from Trump and Giuliani
Previously it was announced Cohen was to begin his jail sentence March 6.
2 weeks later, the President announces hard dates for his upcoming summit with Kim Jong Un.
February 8: President Donald Trump said Friday night that a second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is scheduled to take place in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Feb. 27 and 28.
Interestingly 12 days later, amazingly in coordination with the prosecution, the judge and the congressional committee, the judge delays the sentencing for the specific purpose of preparing for the hearing and time to get his affairs in order.

More amazing the very next day Feb 21 it is announced Cohen to testify before Senate Intel on Feb 26 and Congress Feb 27 and again behind closed doors Feb 28.
I clearly belong in the camp that we are watching a coup in real time. All the while looking upon ourselves incredulously saying its all a bad joke and ain't a damn thing Democrats can do. All the while they are doing it!

Good point — I was focusing on loan fraud, and didn’t think of the downstream opportunities for tax fraud. Cohen seems the sort not to miss any opportunities.
