I don't think that's how the Sharia Police concept works. I don't think they beat each other with their canes until they have beat everyone else first.
OK, so we've had a wonderful discussion about criminalizing and/or persecution of homosexuals. But, I think we have just been discussing the symptoms of the problem and not addressing the problem itself.
Where is it that homosexuals are being so horribly persecuted?
Who else is being persecuted in these horrible places?
Might we just be jumping on board with Hollywood, the MSM and our liberal elitist leaders with one of their pet victim classes (identity politics) while ignoring the real perpetrators?
The point I'm trying to make is:
Shouldn't we also address other life threatening human rights violations in these same countries? And how exactly to do that when their ruling class and devout "true believers" have unquestioned permission in word and deed from their prophet sent by the "one true god" of the religion of peace? (And if you say it isn't the religion of peace, they will kill you.)
That said, what about these cultural, religious and human rights norms of "the religion of peace?" How do you reform these other antiquated beliefs?

Does this new Trump(Ivanka?) policy demand that countries adopt homosexual marriage?
1. Sexual orientation and identity problems seem to happen in the week or two of brain and genitalia development in the first trimester. The window may end up being as short as 2 days. Epigenetics probably plays a role here, I am guessing chemicals in the amniotic fluid.
2. People can achieve sexual satisfaction from people or things they aren’t really attracted to, when they really want sexual satisfaction.

There is a huge difference between stepping in if a country doesn’t PROMOTE HOMOSEXUALITY and stepping in when a country murders homosexuals.
You religious people jumping on me over this need to remember that the Bible does describe MANY SINS. You and I commit some. We are more comfortable and less up in arms about speaking rudely or gossiping or any sexual fault we might have had but we get all holier than thou when the sin is personally “icky’ to us. Gay sex is not one of Gd’s biggest problems, even if it sounds yucky to you.

What he’s doing is moving to get countries (mostly Islamic) to not make homosexuality a death-penalty offense.
I think it’s a brilliant chess move. Islamic authorities around the world will go on about “But the Quran DEMANDS it!”. And after letting them steam and spew for a while, will take note of what they say, and say “And the Left wants this in the US?”.
