I don’t know if tribal is the right concept. Does tribal describe Stalin’s control of Russia or Hitler’s control of Germany? This is a very modern phenomena, most fully detailed in fiction by Orwell and in non-fiction by Solzhenitsyn. It’s much more powerful than tribal. The author is right, however, when saying “bias” doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what’s going on here. I just have a problem with the idea of “tribal” being a fit description.

Something just struck me two days ago while watching a documentary on a history channel.

More lying by the media by presenting it as a racial protest rather than the whole allotment of reasons it is closing. Let’s sell those papers!!! So in this case, this article will be overshadowed by a liberal press trying to pad their agenda because the article directly falls into the losing effort to argue on a point that is minor in it’s nature rather than giving the whole truth. Can’t be intelligent that way.

I wish everyone would stop saying that the “media fell for the Smellitt hoax.” They didn’t “fall” for anything, they deliberately encourage, promote and spread these hoaxes deliberately. It serves its purpose. Everyone will remember the initial headline reporting and will forget the back page paragraph that says that it was a hoax. They just move on to the next hoax, it’s deliberate, it’s purposeful, and never forget that.
