Neuroscientists Say They've Found an Entirely New Form of Neural Communication
sciencealert.com ^ | PETER DOCKRILL

Scientists think they've identified a previously unknown form of neural communication that self-propagates across brain tissue, and can leap wirelessly from neurons in one section of brain tissue to another – even if they've been surgically severed.

The discovery offers some radical new insights about the way neurons might be talking to one another, via a mysterious process unrelated to conventionally understood mechanisms, such as synaptic transmission, axonal transport, and gap junction connections.

"We don't know yet the 'So what?' part of this discovery entirely," says neural and biomedical engineer Dominique Durand from Case Western Reserve University.

"But we do know that this seems to be an entirely new form of communication in the brain, so we are very excited about this."

Before this, scientists already knew there was more to neural communication than the above-mentioned connections that have been studied in detail, such as synaptic transmission.

For example, researchers have been aware for decades that the brain exhibits slow waves of neural oscillations whose purpose we don't understand, but which appear in the cortex and hippocampus when we sleep, and so are hypothesised to play a part in memory consolidation.

"The functional relevance of this input‐ and output‐decoupled slow network rhythm remains a mystery," explains neuroscientist Clayton Dickinson from the University of Alberta, who wasn't involved in the new research but has discussed it in a perspective article.

“It appears birds have brain functions that involve quantum entanglement.”

Due to the evolutionary pressures of flight demanding high efficiency and light weight birds have the most amazing abilities given the size of their brains. I sometimes think that if there is another mass extinction event that the birds will take over.

Purposeful communication is effectively stifled between entangled particles because this would be tantamount to instantaneous communication, which effectively violates speed-of-light constraints.

This is one of the most confusing things about quantum physics: entanglement can be used to gain information about a component of a system when you know the full state and make a measurement of the other component(s), but not to create-and-send information from one part of an entangled system to the other.

It looks to me that this is a non-quantum matter of a field inducing changes on another “circuit”. But I intend to look into this further in case some kind of more exotic process is involved.

No. How does it go?

Maybe neurons are antennae.

Though it’s not clear enough as of yet, I believe what they are now finding is the ways and means that twins, triplets, etc... often ‘feel’ what the other is experiencing even with great distances between them.

As a twin/triplet (2 sets if identical twins, which one girl did not survive to birth), over my life I’ve experienced too many things to just slough it off. The same with my twin/triplet siblings.

Though we are all saved in the name of Jesus, we do dread the day one of us passes... Not dreading the soul’s passage, simply not wanting to experience the time/even of the death of the other.

Make sense?

Trans dimensional, it’s how the spirit communicates with the body. That is why it appears to jump gaps.

If you read the article, it says electric fields move across the brain, and can even jump small gaps. It’s not that odd, since it’s been known for a long time that many animals generate electric fields. Sharks have special sensors to detect the electric fields of prey, and, of course, electric eels can generate a surprisingly large field.

This report is about waves of fields in the human brain which might work as some kind of total brain organizers. Very cool, if true.

“Because bodies, according to their own nature, are changeable, inconstant, and infinitely divisible, and nothing unchangeable remains in them, there is evidently need of a principle that would lead them, gather them, and bind them fast together; and this we name Soul. If then the soul were a body of any kind of constitution, even if it were as small as (an atom,) what would then hold that together ? For we said that every body needed some principle that would hold the body together, and so on into infinity, until we should reach the incorporeal. ....Should it be said, however, that because bodies have three dimensions, then must also the soul, as it penetrates the whole body, be of triple extension, and therefore in any case be a body, then would we have to answer that although every body has three dimensions, yet not everything that has three dimensions is a body. For quantity and quality, which in themselves are incorporeal, may under certain circumstances be reckoned quantatively. Likewise the soul, which in itself is non-extensive, might be considered as tridimensional in case that by chance it had happened into something tridimensional .....” ~ The Neoplatonic Writings of Numenius

So glad to know that I’m not alone.

My mother actually made a request to us to please NOT tell her ahead of time of her demise.

We all called home the day before she passed away. I had a dream/vison (?) at the time she passed. She was standing there right in my bedroom assuring me, “Everything will be okay. It’s all going to be okay.”

Two minutes later, the phone rings.

Several years later when we called home to just talk to my dad, he freaked. Said if my brother called him after my call he was going to be real upset. Nope. Brother did not call him.

It’s hard to explain to folks who don’t get it and for those who believe Christians cannot have foresight. It’s that we’re not to use the foresight against God’s instructions. Like any of the Lord’s gifts....
