Trump and his advisers frequently use Bush as a punching bag.Bush deserves being a punching bag.
He and Obama are twin traitors to the republic.

Okay. Maybe Bush deserved to be a punching bag. I get that. But I have to defend Dubya. He was great after 9/11. Iraq was a bold move. Saddam was a SOB. He had to go. Maybe we should had given power to somebody in Ba’athist Party. Iraq would be a military dictatorship similar to Egypt today. Anyway, Bush didn’t do anything radical like Obamacare or New Green Deal. We can thank him for that.

On the other hand, Trump learned from Bush’s two biggest flaws. Lack of immigration enforcement and bully pulpit. Bush was a honorable man who believed that it was a waste of his time to bicker with media. Turned out to be a big mistake. His 2nd term was basically a lame duck because he allow4d the media to frame the debate.

Without the poor performance of George W. Bush, getting us into Gulf War II, and near economic collapse, as well as unchecked illegal immigration, Obama may never have been elected.
