Your right, and people who laugh at this notion do so without knowing what's going on.
How the race between Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke became the closest in Texas in 40 years
by Patrick Svitek and Abby Livingston Nov. 9, 2018
"...O'Rourke fell roughly 220,000 votes short out of 8.3 million of unseating Cruz, closer to winning a statewide office than any Texas Democrat in a generation."
That is just insane, for a nutbar like Be To O'Rourke to come so close to unseating Cruz. I know some will say Cruz isn't their ideal candidate. There really is no such thing as a candidate you'll agree with 100% of the time...unless you yourself run for office. But to have Cruz come within ~2.5% of loosing to that guy should be a wakeup call.
And then there is this...
In FY 2018, an average of more than 33,000 were apprehended on the southern border EVERY month. A small cities worth of population, month after month after month after month.
Nearly 400,000 were caught FY 2018 alone.
**** Keep in mind, these numbers represent those who were caught. How many were not caught? ****

Oh, wait ...NM is totally blue and wants open borders, so they don’t support border barriers or the CBP.
