Which brings us to a focus on your position.

Are you trying to imply, perhaps in a passive-aggressive way, that you disagree with my statement? My statement that Trump’s political intelligence is greater than anyone else in politics?

Not passive agressive at all.

I agree with that statement about his intelligence.

But there have been some problems with execution. He’s had some really good cabinet and executive hires (e.g. Pompeo, Mulvaney, DeVos) and some pretty bad ones (Sessions, Pruitt). That’s par for the course, though in any administration.

SECDEF Rumsfeld’s statement of (paraphrase) “... you go to war with the army you have...” is applicable here. President Trump knew what Congress was like when he won the election, and so should supporters. He has to make do with what he has to work with.

Again, both he and supporters need to recognize this. I believe he’s gotten played badly politically by Speaker Ryan and McConnell and then later Speaker Pelosi on the immigration issue, and especially the just passed bill.

It’s not enough to just have intelligence - he has to be able to execute using that intelligence given the political climate.
