Once a federal project begins, it is almost impossible to stop it. Take the Big Dig in Boston. Originally it was to be $2.6b but by the time it was done it cost over $15b.
Fact is, those behind the Big Dig knew it would cost much more but they also knew that once they got that spigot going and once construction began, it would become unstoppable and they would be fully funded through completion.
I see the Wall as being in the same category.
With the immigration provisions in this bill, the wall will NOT MATTER.
There are literally MILLIONS of central american leftists who will arrive within 7months of this bill signing. They will NEVER go away.
In 10 years WE will be a leftist central american country.
