I know people who have served time in prison for multiple DUIs. Ether it’s a crime or it is not. Or is it a crime for American citizens, but not for legals? That was rhetorical.

It would take a piece of scum like Menendez to come up with this. There are laws against driving while under the influence. Break them, and you’re a criminal. There are laws against entering the U.S. without a passport and without our knowledge. Break those laws and you’re a criminal. How does this idiot possibly bend either of these 2 crimes around to being legal? New name for him: Dirty Gumby.
There are laws against sex with underage girls but Menendez ignored those too.

Here in NJ (which Menendez represents), it is not a crime but a driving offense. Look it up; strange but true. In fact, there is a law in the works that will make commuting to and from work exempt from license suspensions (though you’d have to use an alcohol detector in your car).
Try getting into Canada, for even a visit, with a drunk driving conviction.
