If you look at voter maps you’ll see the parts of Texas closest to the border with Mexico are the ones’ going democrat.
It’s NOT that democrats are changing minds - it’s that the area is filling up with Mexicans, illegals, and others newly dependent on democrats. In thirty years 3rd world people - and their children - will be able put democrats in power... forever.

That part of el paso was the gadson purchase and the land owners were the owners when it was mexico..and they became citizens when purchased. They sympathise with the immigrants. I guess drugs and thugs don’t matter.
