The left are becoming victims of their own propaganda. If Climate Change really was “The most important moral challenge of our times” then you would expect that belief would create an Occasional Cortex - in fact it would d create many of them

Rebuild every single building in the U.S.That is all I had to read to know that this is real. It's just too stupid to be an Onion satire.

Everyone thinks she is harmless simply because she is ignorant. This is a dangerous way to think. This is the same thing that people thought about Adolph Hitler, Idi Amin, and Pol Pot.
The worse thing we can do is to laugh, and not take her or HER FOLLOWERS seriously. She is dangerous, and her threat will be magnified if it permitted to foster and brew. Mark my words.

In my day, they would have called AO-C a dumb, dittzy blonde. An airhead.
But no offense to blondes. I like blondes.
This GND would be laughable if AO-C and the democRATS weren't so serious.
Let's just say she's jumped the shark on this one.

"This chick needs to read Atlas Shrugged!" She did. Got a lot of her ideas from the hero of the story, Ivy Starnes.

""Yes, I dont like her at all... Yes, I think she is dangerous.. "
She on her own is not a serious threat but comedic relief.
However those who would advance her adenda with an agenda of their own makes this woman potentially very dangerous.
Germany laughed at the funny little agitator with a Charlie Chaplin mustache. Until they didn't.
The aristocrats didn't pay heed to the group of loser anarchists in Czarist Russia... until they were marched into a cellar and never to be seen alive.
Lots of money and power will change hands behind the scenes at the cloak room at the Capital and in the secluded homes of DC bigwigs
We all would do well to snicker a bit less and pay more attention to who is coalescing behind AOC's ideas and supporters.

Agreed.
She actually believes the Feds can print the money to pay for this.
She actually believes that the planet will be less polluted if we do this. She has no clue how much China and India alone pollute the planet.
She actually believes wind and solar can totally do the job of fossil fuels.
She is a believer and that’s why she’s being used.
The Commies who prop her up are using her because she is a true believer. They however are not.
They are looking for control.

The average condo high rise in Seattle costs about $200 million to engineer and build (not including the property).
I just found an article that stated that the U.S. housing market was valued at $33 trillion. So maybe $22 trillion for the actual building? (Not including property).
Factories and business buildings maybe worth $80 trillion? Airports, stadiums, etc another $20 trillion??

Agreed.
I read an article that said to accomplish part of her stated goals would require “rare earth”, which is currently mined largely in, you guessed it, China.
We have it here in the States but it is found in areas of the country that is protected by national parks and wildlife preserves. And her green friends ain’t exactly warm to the idea of opening mines on a vastly industrial scale that China currently has no qualms in doing.
Were I a conspiracy minded, I’d think AOC was a Chinese stooge. However, following “Occam’s Razor” she’s just a product of today’s collegiate Leftist dogma.

Rebuild every single building in the U.S. Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency. Will end all traditional forms of energy in the next ten years. The Green New Deal is a 10-year plan to mobilize every aspect of American society at a scale not seen since World War 2 to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. Funny since rebuilding every building will take 100 years of heavy industrial strength fossil fuel equipment - and it it's any thing like road work, will extend for 1000 years....Cincinnati has been working on the same stretch of roads for 25 years with no end in sight...

Build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary.Did Missing Cortex write that sentence? That must be the case. Only a complete idiot could write such a poorly worded sentence.
I understand what they are saying, but it's clear that they have absolutely no understanding of what it takes to create railroad infrastructure where none currently exists. They need to take a good, hard look at the Kalifornia high speed rail debacle/money pit.
But as is always the case with socialists, they ignore the many socialist failures of the past because they are certain that the next time it's tried, it will be done right.
