Whenever one of the many failures of Socialism is brought up, the socialists’ retort is always that “real” socialism hasn’t been tried.

Instead of letting that retort stand, we should challenge the socialist: Why hasn’t “real” socialism ever been tried? Surely, there has never been a lack of utopian idealists to implement it, so why have they failed, every time?

Maybe it’s not only because, as pointed out in the article, no one has the knowledge to successfully micromanage millions of people, but also because absolute power corrupts absolutely. To the Socialist dictator, nothing affirms his sense of godhood than living a life of unequaled luxury while the masses struggle to survive.
