No need for wardrobe malfunction - just showing their face is sufficient, as they all resemble that portion of a horse’s anatomy.
It may be a southern expression as my southern grandmother used it.
It just means to act stupid in public when there was no need to.
It’s sort of like hold my beer and watch this...
Southern slang, when anyone’s behavior is called out by anyone that knows you, the baseball pitcher throws inside to back up the one batting, the batter throws his bat at the pitcher, my Daddy would say the guy batting showed his ass
