Politicians find it difficult to consistently tell the truth, but it is harder for Conservatives to lie.
Why? Because Conservatives are constantly scrutinized by the Media and held to account for merest trifle of a lie.

Also, Conservatives have standards and we expect Conservative leaders to live up to those standards. The gungrabbing babykillers have no standards. In particular, I remember an Obama supporter telling me in 2008 that:
1) Because his mother's parents grew up in Kansas, Obama had Midwestern values.
2) That the Ford Foundation was a conservative think-tank because Henry Ford was a conservative.

Booker’s record in Newark was a disaster, but that is swept under the carpet. When Amazon was looking for a site for the HQ2, the media first pretended that Newark was a serious contender, then said nothing when Spartacus Booker publicly stated that “Newark has an educated, well-trained workforce”.
