Interesting thing. The VA doesn’t do fasting tests anymore except by specific Dr. orders.
I had a bunch of lab tests come back with high readings...including the PSA.
she asked me to fast for 24 hrs and we’ll take the tests again.
The results showed numbers way lower than the first test.
I am taking Finasteride. My next(and last) PSA test showed a dramatic drop in PSA levels.
That's pretty much what I've been reading too.
Albeit, doctors are always saying the men with prostate cancer will likely die of something else before they die of prostate cancer. (when I told my friend that, he laughed and said that that's exactly what his doctor said)
My PSA reading have always been low and at a constant level.(Change is what draws the doctors attention)
