Why would the politician ask if the military would obey the order to build the wall?
Has the American military ever sniffed around an order from a president and pondered whether or not to obey it.
In most situations, that is considered grounds for execution.

I believe there was an admiral that publicly announced he would not obey an illegal order to launch a nuclear attack. He did not define how he would know the order was illegal but the media took it to mean any such order from Trump would be illegal.
