FedEx Field, when the Redskins moved there from RFK, was privately financed. It was initially called Jack Kent Cooke Stadium.

Jack Kent Cooke passed away in 1997, the team then was sold to Snyder by his heirs.

As far as I know the only tax payer dollars for it initially were the roads and an improved exit off the beltway. It sits on or near the old Capital Center site where the Caps and Bullets played.

If I’m not mistaken it is the only stadium in the NFL that’s 100% owner financed at construction.
