Now mislabeled?

“Progressive” did not mean anything different a century ago when politicians were using it. Woodrow Wilson, who said “socialism and democracy are … one and the same”, was the main “Progressive era” leader.

Yup. And John Dewey was the progressive leader for public education.

Thanks for your response. My remark should have included reference to the previous label of “Liberal” used to identify the deplorable ideology that, from its start in the late 1800’s, sought to overturn the ideas of liberty enshrined by the Founders and Framers of the United States Constitution.
